# Titles & captions

Filmsers · Viral Series starter · Worksheet v1

Write honest title and caption variants that carry the episode's actual lesson into its publishing context, with a clear next step and relevant topic labels.

## How to use

1. Watch the finished episode before choosing a title. Name the subject and the real comparison; do not advertise an outcome the footage does not show.

2. Draft a direct title, a question title and a process title. Pair the selected option with a caption that adds context instead of repeating the opening line word for word.

3. Check names, spelling, caption timing, accessibility and any permissions or required disclosures. Topic labels are descriptive metadata, not a guarantee of distribution. Confirm current destination requirements before publishing.

## Fictional worked example — One Small Fix

Original teaching proposals, not published results or a promise of virality. Referenced footage must be recorded and reviewed.

### Title variants

Direct: 'One desk lamp, two positions'. Question: 'What changed in this talking-head frame?' Process: 'Testing lamp position without changing the camera'. Choose only after the actual comparison is approved.

### Short caption

Same camera and chair, different lamp position. Compare both samples, then record a quick A/B test in your own setup before the full take.

### Expanded caption

One Small Fix EP01 explores lamp position in one desk setup. We keep the camera, exposure and chair fixed, then compare two samples. Your room may behave differently. Save a test frame and choose what supports your scene.

### On-screen captions and description

Proof labels: 'A: original lamp position' and 'B: revised lamp position'. Caption Alex's actual words after the final edit. Descriptive line: 'Two matched views of Alex at a desk show how moving one lamp changes the face shadow.' Revise if the footage differs.

### Topic labels

Possible descriptive labels for this fictional episode: #TalkingHeadVideo, #LightingTest, #SoloFilmmaking. Verify they fit the finished video and destination; no reach improvement is implied.

### Packaging approval

Packaging v1 / producer review pending / confirm destination limits before posting. No sponsor is assumed. If equipment or services were supplied, determine and include the applicable disclosure before publication.

## Review before publishing

- [ ] Titles and captions promise only what the finished episode demonstrates.

- [ ] Captions are checked against the final audio and essential visual information is understandable.

- [ ] Labels are relevant; no fake engagement, invented bonus or guaranteed outcome appears.

## Handoff

Save a versioned copy with your project files. Nothing here automatically imports, schedules or publishes. The demo is shared; keep private production details in your own files.
