Download worksheet (.md) ↓Includes instructions, a worked example and a blank worksheet. Edit in any text or Markdown editor. Save your copy with your project files; it does not sync to the shared demo.
How to use it
- Choose one product truth from the lock. Decide what the viewer needs to see to understand it, then write the camera action and proposed copy side by side.
- Rehearse the full action before shooting close-ups. Keep a continuous reference take so the edit does not invent a capability through hidden substitutions or misleading cuts.
- Treat the timing as an edit plan, not recorded timecode. Check the actual footage against the claim register, confirm the destination and ask the owner to approve the final cut before publication.
Review before handoff
- The full action supports the edited demonstration without concealing a necessary step.
- Script and imagery match the approved claim scope; timing is clearly a proposed edit plan.
- CTA destination, product availability and final owner approval are checked before release.
Fictional worked example
Foldline Desk Tray
An original teaching example, not a customer result. Reference filenames are illustrative; no source media is included.
- Demo premise and dependency
- Proposed Foldline demo: a desk user sees a flat tray assembled and used. Depends on C01/C02 and the actual SKU functioning as shown. Neither claim is approved; replace or omit the copy if the sample does not support it.
- Beat 1 — reveal / 0–3 seconds
- Plan: overhead, tray flat beside a pen. Proposed voiceover: 'A place for the small things.' On-screen: Foldline Desk Tray. This is fictional draft copy, not an approved product promise or a recorded line.
- Beat 2 — demonstrate / 3–10 seconds
- Plan: hands form the tray in one uninterrupted view, followed by a corner insert. Proposed voiceover after C01 approval: 'Open it. Bring the corners together.' Verify the actual assembly method first. Keep the full action available to the editor; no speed or ease claim is implied.
- Beat 3 — use / 10–16 seconds
- Plan: pen and keys placed into the assembled tray. Proposed voiceover after C02 approval: 'Keep the things you reach for in one place.' Match the actual product scale; the pen and keys are styling props, not bundle contents.
- Beat 4 — next step / 16–20 seconds
- Plan: clean hero hold with room for typography. Draft CTA: 'Explore the Foldline Desk Tray.' Product-page URL and available variants remain unresolved. No price, discount, delivery promise or false urgency is supplied.
- Edit and approval handoff
- Producer links C01 to continuous assembly take and C02 to representative use take once recorded. Editor checks cut continuity, captions and product version. Use licensed or original sound only. Release stays pending until owner review; the optional graph stamp is demo structure, not these notes or finished footage.
